吉隆坡現場錄製的爵士作品，由馬來西亞製作人Evelyn Hii發起，以委內瑞拉當代爵士小號手Michael Simon創作為主，參與者有台灣薩克斯風手謝明諺、馬來西亞鋼琴手Michael Veerapen、鼓手John Thomas、貝斯手Daniel Foong共同演繹，玉鳳在此除了琵琶演奏，也提供個人創作〈九拍子—-杜鵑徹夜不眠〉作為爵士語彙的嘗試。

“Asian Connections” is an innovative project initiated by Malaysian producer Evelyn Hii bringing Asian flavor to jazz music. As a part of that project, this album was recorded live at No Black Tie in Kuala Lumpur and is based on the compositions of Venezuelan jazz trumpet player Michael Simon. The album features performances by Taiwanese saxophonist Minyen Hsieh and Malaysian musicians: pianist Michael Veerapen, drummer John Thomas, and bassist Daniel Foong. Chung Yufeng not only contributed pipa performance to the album, but also her composition “The Sleepless Cuckoo (in 9/8 Time),” as her attempt to articulate the language of jazz through the pipa.
